White sage (Salvia apiana), also known as sacred sage, is an evergreen perennial native to the Southwestern United States. Burning white sage is cleansing and purifying for any negative energy, lower vibrational energy or even spirits within your space.

Smudging can help combat negativity in a home, clear the energy in your field, and allows you to start with a clean slate. Smudging is an ancient ceremony in which you burn sacred plants, such as sage, to allow the smoke to clear and bless a space.
The most commonly used smudge is California White Sage because it burns evenly and consistently and is said to have the best results in spiritually cleansing a space. Light the end of the smudge stick with a lighter, candle, or matches then blow on until fire is extinguished. It will then begin to smoke and smolder. Hold over a firesafe dish and carrying through the house.
